SUMMARY:SHERLOCK Final Event - Hybrid
DESCRIPTION:The EU-funded SHERLOCK project aspires to develop flexible\, safe human-centred robotic applications for new collaborative workplaces. The project introduces novel robotics technologies\, such as high and low payload collaborative robots\, exoskeletons and mobile dual-arm robots\, enhanced with smart mechatronics and AI-based cognition to augment human capabilities. The novel SHERLOCK shop floor ensures the operators’ safety\, acceptance and well-being. \nJoin us in Helmond\, Netherlands\, on 28 October to learn about the novel human-robot collaborative technologies developed within SHERLOCK\, driven by the requirements of the European Industry. Apart from the individual technologies\, the workshop will showcase their deployment\, as four integrated production stations\, in four industrial demonstrators derived from the renewable energy\, industrial modules assembly\, machine building and aeronautics sectors. The workshop will conclude with crucial findings related to performance\, phycological impact\, and acceptance of the solution as the outcome of on-site evaluation activities. \nREGISTRATION OPEN HERE.

SUMMARY:SHERLOCK 1st Online Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Last 5 July\, the EU-funded SHERLOCK project hosted its first online workshop\, “Fostering seamless and safe human-robot collaboration in manufacturing”. \nIndustrial robots and automation in modern manufacturing industries have increased significantly in the past decades. More recently\, the global pandemic and digital revolution have fundamentally transformed the way industries are performing. However\, low digital integration and separated human-robot collaboration prevent enterprises from becoming factories of the future. \nSHERLOCK develops innovative robotic applications to address manufacturers’ needs and bridge the gap between humans and robots so that they can coexist more effectively and safely. \nThe webinar\, free and open to everyone\, aimed at presenting SHERLOCK human-robot technologies in novel production systems that facilitate active collaboration in the same shared workspace. Our four panelists\, representing different members of the consortium\, unveiled the technical results achieved over the past four years and discuss the game-changing contributions of the SHERLOCK project to the new era of industry automation.

SUMMARY:ICRA 2020
DESCRIPTION:ICRA is the largest robotics meeting in the world\, we aim to make the 2020 edition one of the most memorable. Paris\, the city of lights\, rightfully earned its nickname through its influence over Europe and the rest of the world in the role she played during the Enlightenment and many revolutions. She has been at the heart of research\, innovation & higher education since the Middle Ages and is home to one of the Western world’s oldest universities\, the Sorbonne\, since the XIIth century. \nWe now cordially invite the international robotics community to this city with its long history\, touristic fame and famous hospitality. \nThe year 2020 is also significant because it is the closing date of the Horizon 2020 Framework program. It’s the biggest EU Research and Innovation program ever\, with nearly €80 billion in funding made available over a 7-year period\, from 2014 to 2020. In collaboration with the Robotics Unit of the European Commission’s Science office\, ICRA 2020 will provide an international forum for the presentation and discussion of the main scientific issues of our field\, in the presence of the leading researcher and innovative companies. \nICRA 2020 will undoubtedly be a highlight event for both Europe\,IEEE/RAS and the robotic community worldwide. \nORGANIZER \n \n

SUMMARY:IFAM Robotics Ljubljana
DESCRIPTION:Začetki sedanjih četverčkov pod nazivom Smart industry – IFAM\, ROBOTICS\, ICT4Industry in INTRONIKA – segajo štirinajst let nazaj\, ko smo leta 2005 v Portorožu organizairali konferenco z nazivom Trendi in tehnologije avtomatizacije. \nŽe takrat smo videli\, da konferenca ni prava oblika\, saj so razstavljavci potebovali nekaj več. To nekaj več je bil sejem s konferenco\, katerega smo organizirali že naslednjo leto 2006 v februarju in je na njem sodelovalo že 32 podjetij\, katera nas še sedaj zvesto spremljajo. Dogodek smo poimenovali IFAM – International Fair for Automation and Mechatronic.
