current obstacles

The current scenario focuses on the workstation where the cab door panel hangers are assembled. The operator needs to assemble different kinds of hangers, which vary in size, weight and number of components. To finalise the assembly, the operator requires to have two-side accessibility while lifting and moving around heavy weight. In this context, the main panel must be lifted and repositioned at least twice during the process. Besides that, these arduous tasks need to be performed multiple times.

Considering all these aspects, the employment of operators with physical restrictions is not feasible. Chronic pain problems are also generated, such as back pains and hand tendinitis, as well as a higher fatigue level.
